Hisang-Ching “Sunny” is a cancer biologist interested in developing therapeutic strategies exploiting protein-protein interactions. She earned her Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in the lab of Dr. Thomas Westbrook, where she utilized functional genetic screens to delineate the role of ubiquitin E3 ligases in regulating therapeutic resistance. She continued her postdoctoral research at Baylor and used chemical-genetic targeted protein degradation approach in combination with functional genetic screens for new target identification and exploring the mechanism of actions. Outside of the lab, Sunny enjoys hiking, playing badminton, and trying out new restaurants.
