Zhongyu is a cheminformatician at Interline. Zhongyu received his PhD in Computational Chemistry at Georgetown University and has over 10 years of experience in quantum mechanics, biophysics and machine learning. Prior to Interline, Zhongyu worked at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), focusing on the prediction of drug-induced cardiotoxicity. At FDA, Zhongyu curated data from FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS), drug labels and literature and built QSAR models on 12 cardiotoxicity endpoints. Before FDA, Zhongyu worked on the functional annotation of microbiomes in the human gut at NIH and also on building machine learning models to predict enzyme-substrate specificity at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Outside of work, Zhongyu enjoys SCUBA diving, skiing and street dancing.
